Darwin Navy Base
Project Description
This project facilitated the expansion of the existing Navy Base located in Darwin. The expansion included a new diesel storage tank, automatic filtering system to clean defuelled diesel and pump it back to the main storage facility, expansion of the existing wharf, a new wharf and 5 new refuelling and defuelling cope points to service the new facilities.
The project was completed whilst the facility remained fully operational and was completed on time and on budget.
TfA Contribution
TfA provided detailed design and construction site supervision. This included hydraulic analysis, HAZOP leadership, on site construction inspections during construction activities, commissioning, operational procedures and maintenance manuals.
