Shell Tamworth Fuel Depot
Project Description
The depot was significantly revamped with the decommissioning of 7 underground tanks and the relocation of 410kL, 500kL and 900kL tanks. Existing bunds were demolished and a new bund constructed for the relocated tanks. The project included extensive amounts of piping, 6 new pumpsets, a new fire hydrant system, switch board, unloading slab and additional rail unloading points. The existing gantry was converted to bottom loading and a new drainage system installed including new oily water separator.
Timing
Construction was completed over a 6 month period whilst the depot remained operating. Commissioned 1996.

Total project value was $2.8 million.

TfA fully project managed the rebuild of the Shell Tamworth fuel depot providing construction site supervision and commissioning.
