BP Port of Brisbane Truckstop
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Located just minutes from the Port of Brisbane unloading facilities, with over 500 sq.m. of floor space, the Truckstop offers drivers a complete rest stop, with a restaurant seating over 80, trucker’s lounge, showers, laundry facilities and a convenience store.
Easy access to the site allows trucks to be filled at one of the 6 high-flow Diesel refueling points. There is on-site parking for 25 B-double rigs. Drivers can relax in the air-conditioned comfort of the trucker’s lounge while keeping an eye on their rigs through the use of close-circuit TV cameras monitoring the parking area.
TIMING and VALUE
Construction of the new $4.5 million truck stop at the Port of Brisbane Whyte Island Estate was completed January 2003.
