Our History
Tam Faragher & Associates was founded in 1995 in Brisbane, Queensland, with 2 personnel, starting out with project management and design drafting capabilities.
As part of our initial projects, TfA was engaged by Shell to document standards for all Shell service station and car wash buildings for use throughout Australia. Since then, TfA has commissioned over 100 service stations nationwide, with major international, national and independent companies.
TfA has grown to provide a complete service for the downstream oil industry. TfA has completed truck stops, fast food restaurants and service centres for many Australian vendors and developers. Our experience with fuel systems has seen TfA successfully upgrade or install new refuelling systems for commercial airports and marinas, each service of the Australian Defence Forces and both national and international mining sites.
We have also established ourselves as market experts in delivering bulk petrochemical facility projects in Australia. We have provided services to each of the major oil companies and independents to upgrade or redevelop fuel depots and terminals, bitumen import and process facilities and lubricant blending plants.
We continue to provide design and project management services for the Queensland Government public housing sector and have designed and managed the construction of schools nationally.
In 2001, TfA became involved in Dalby Bio-Refinery’s inception, facilitating approvals and front-end-engineering-design to enable successful financing of the development. TfA subsequently provided all bulk earthworks, civil, structural steel, piping, electrical, fire systems and building detailed design to the EPC contractor. The intimate involvement in all aspects of the development of Australia’s first grain-to-ethanol plant sees TfA as recognised experts in Australia’s fledgling biofuels industry, expertise we have and continue to use to progress biofuels projects throughout the nation.
TfA was awarded the Queensland Woolworths Petrol Program in 2006, where we are engaged in the design, commissioning and project management of their network development in Queensland and northern New South Wales.
