As a Mechanical Project Engineer at TfA, whilst many of the requirements are mechanical engineering based, the role would ideally suit someone who has a broad understanding of a range of related engineering and technical disciplines. This role will expose you to high profile projects, such as the construction of 2-off 27ML diesel tanks in Mackay for major oil companies, where TfA provided overall design, engineering, project management and construction management until commissioning.
Your responsibilities will include:

Design Engineering: Includes developing process flow diagrams and P&IDs, to preparing tender and construction documentation. The candidate must show sound skills in all facets of design (FEA, drafting 2D & 3D, calculations, feasibilities, tenders) and be capable of reviewing and checking designs; drawings and data by other engineers or suppliers and ensuring that they meet design intent and standards.

Process Engineering: The candidate will have exposure to fundamentals of process engineering and mapping, process flow analysis, etc. in different applications. These may include ethanol plants, fuel and lubricant terminals, and other industrial applications.

General Engineering: The candidate must also have experience in or a willingness to undertake other engineering practises. These include risk analysis and risk assessments, exposure to control logic and electrical engineering. The candidate will assist in the interpretation and review of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, systems and equipment.

Liaise with clients; contractors; sub-contractors and suppliers during design, construction and commissioning of projects. The candidate will be required to communicate with different parties to successfully complete projects on a day-to-day basis.
The successful applicant shall:

Have at least 3 years of experience

Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering

Be self-motivated
-
Have excellent knowledge of Australian Standards

Have excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and excellent inter-personal skills

Have experience in writing various documentation in different stages of a project
