Structural Engineer - Brisbane

TfA is currently seeking a qualified structural engineer with 3 to 10 years experience to join our expert project delivery team. This role will see you working with a group of enthusiastic engineers in an enjoyable atmosphere. Benefits include:

You will be a hardworking structural engineer who enjoys both the design and implementation stages of projects. You will take pride in delivering projects on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Foundation and concrete design,
-
Dam and bund design,
-
Building, canopy, shed design,
-
Multi-storey building design,
-
Steel, concrete, timber, masonry building design,
-
Retainment structures,
-
Assisting with the preparation, interpretation and review of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, surveys, structures, systems and equipment,
-
Working within a multi-disciplined team on a range of projects without the need for close supervision,
-
Reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by other engineers or by suppliers meeting specifications,
-
Contributing to fee proposals and actively monitoring the financial performance of your project
-
Carrying out inspections and liaising with contractors
The successful applicant will:
-
Have at least three years relevant experience,
-
Be self-motivated,
-
Have excellent knowledge of Australian standards,
-
Have experience with SpaceGAS, SLABS structural design software and AutoCAD.

Have excellent communication skills (oral and written) and have excellent relationship skills,
-
Have experience writing documentation at the different stages of a project,
-
Have a Tertiary qualification in Civil / Structural Engineering
