TfA Project Group is a highly experienced and specialised engineering design consultancy providing solutions for the biofuels, dangerous goods and downstream oil industries.
We currently have a number of exciting and technically challenging projects that require industry leading skills in the fields of chemical / process and mechanical engineering. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team at our head office in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Project delivery including multi-disciplinary engineering and design coordination, on time and within budget
- Preparation / review of project technical specifications and scope of work documents
- Preparation / review of User Specifications, PFD’s, P&ID’s
- Producing engineering deliverables such as mass and heat balances, heating and heat loss calculations, hydraulic modelling, equipment sizing and datasheets
- Liaison and negotiation with clients, authorities, suppliers and sub-consultants as required
The successful applicant will have:
- A bachelor’s degree qualification in chemical / process or mechanical engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia)
- At least 5 years relevant industry experience. Experience as a lead engineer or project manager / engineer in multi-discipline engineering and design consultancies and/or experience with bulk fuels storage and distribution or process plants will be highly regarded.
- Experience in applicable technical calculations, design and equipment selection
- Experience in the application of recognised industry standards and statutory regulations
- A systematic and analytical approach with a high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills (oral and written)
